Announcing The Pacific Future AI & Film Event
Pacific Future AI & Film Event x Signals
Launching in 2024, the Pacific Future AI & Film Event is a platform to explore innovation in film, art and other forms of time based media through the lens of artificial intelligence. In a one-day takeover with Signals we are presenting a screening program to showcase AI-driven films and hosting panels with some of the most groundbreaking artists, filmmakers and industry leaders working today.
We are focused on highlighting the transformative potential of AI in media and storytelling, and creating networking opportunities for professionals across various sectors—including artists, designers, filmmakers, technologists, AI entrepreneurs, government, and industry. These efforts are geared towards challenging and expanding perceptions of creative AI practices, articulating the emergent interdisciplinary spaces that AI technologies create, and bringing international voices to Vancouver to broaden community horizons and showcase local talent.
We are excited to partner with Signals, the Vancouver International Film Festival, Emily Carr University, and DigiBC, with an eye on growing and expanding the impact and scale of this event in the future.
Join us on October 2, 2024 at the Great Northern Way campus for this one-day event, followed by a cocktail hour.
Best, from the Pacific Future Team, Michael Tippett, Kate Armstrong, and Sean Arden.
